ASCLS-IL, formerly the
Illinois Clinical Laboratory Science Association, is an affiliate society
of the American Society for Clinical Laboratory
Science and one of five states in ASCLS Region VI, which also includes
Iowa,
Kansas,
Missouri
and Nebraska.

ASCLS-IL Mission Statement |
The mission of the ASCLS-IL is to positively
affect the public's health through promotion of efficient and effective use of
clinical laboratory services. ASCLS-IL strives to continually influence public and
professional policies necessary to:
- Advocate the role of laboratory
professionals to other health practitioners, consumers, and governmental
agencies.
- Ensure a competent laboratory team.
- Promote practice at a level
commensurate with the expertise of the profession and remove barriers to such
practice.
- Advance the role of clinical laboratory
consultants.
- Achieve optimal utilization of
laboratory services.
