ASCLS-IL
or the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science-Illinois is a professional organization for
clinical laboratory practitioners.
ASCLS-IL is a constituent society of the
American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science or ASCLS. When you become a
member of ASCLS, you have the option of joining your home state society or you
can become a member of another state society if you work or go to school in that
state. The only option joining any state
society is to first join ASCLS. Click on the following link for more

ASCLS-IL is governed by a
Constitution
and Bylaws.

ASCLS-IL consists of four
branch societies based on geography. Each branch society is represented by its
president on the ASCLS-IL board of directors. The branches sponsor social and
educational sessions throughout the year for their local members.

| Chicago Society for Clinical Laboratory
Science (the Chicago Branch) includes
the city of Chicago and its suburbs. Of the four branches, Chicago has
the largest membership. This area includes Elgin, Naperville, Aurora and

| Northwest Branch consists
of the northwestern counties of the state. This includes the cities of Rockford,
DeKalb and Freeport. For more information and Northwest Branch

Central Branch
covers all of central Illinois. This area includes the cities of Peoria,
Bloomington-Normal, Rock Island, Moline, Kankakee and Galesburg. For information

| Springfield-Southern Branch
is the largest branch geographically. It covers the southern half of the
state including the cities of Springfield, Decatur, Champaign-Urbana,
Danville, Carbondale, Belleville, Quincy and East St. Louis. For
